Job Description
The client is a global conglomerate with significant operations in the EMEA region. As a business they are famed for their consistently brilliant profit levels and operational excellence.
You will be given control of reporting & compliance for the business which is a significant task from the outset of the assignment, as well as driving process improvement. This is not a purely corporate tax driven role; you will also be in charge of VAT (though assisted by a specialist team in this area). You will play be crucial in driving improvements to the compliance and reporting processes, which will mean taking a far sighted view on the function and working with various team members to improve efficiency. Working closely with the director you will also be involved in high-end advisory pieces, working on acquisitions, JV`s and disposals, structuring investments and any other ad hoc work.
You will be CA qualified (or equivalent) with at least 4 years PQE ideally. It is essential you have a solid technical accounting base, knowledge of USGAAP, UKGAAP and IFRS/IAS standards will be needed. There will also be significant team leadership as part of the role, so prior people management skills are required.
