Job Description
Blue Chip giant requires Hardware Engineer with proven skills in hardware and systems level design and simulation/analysis tools including layout technologies for analogue and high speed circuits combined with knowledge of 8 bit micros and C programming, and FPGA, and knowledge of VHDL is required to work on customer electronics such as STB/PVR for world leader.
You should also have knowledge of eCAD or similar with general knowledge of generating schematics and assisting PCB layout. Combined with the skills to create a new project in minimal time reusing existing hardware components to reduce time and effort, and to deliver reports and presentations on new ideas and concepts. You will also be degree or MSc educated in Electronic Engineering or related subject.
Key elements will include generating innovative ideas for product evolution and new business, working with the hardware and customer technology teams to develop new product variations and concept demos for customers. Taking ideas from concept to demonstration including all aspects of hardware, software and systems costing/analysis.
Ideal backgrounds would include working on Broadcast products such as STB/PVR, mobile handsets/smartphones, sat nav\'s, MP3 etc
