Job Description
Controls and Automation Software Engineers
Location: Cambridgeshire (commutable from Bedford, North London, Cambridge, Stevenage, Harlow and Bury St Edmunds)
Salary: £30k - £45k + Bens
Key Words: Software design, control software development, Machine Control, Automation, Servo Control Loops, Robotics, Instrumentation, data logging, motion controls, Complex machines knowledge (eg. Medical, automotive, environmental, sensors, plasma, ceramics, vacuum systems, etc) Development languages for control Automation ranging from C++/C# for Laboratory automation or maybe JAVA for medical devices software development. Also some complex PLCs and SCADA would be handy!
Our client is a design consultancy producing real products and solutions for applications ranging from consumer products to medical electronics and scientific instruments. They are also cash-rich so there\'s plenty of state-of-art equipment, huge training budgets and the salary/bonus/share packages are excellent!
We are looking for a two to three Engineers who have the following;
Solid academic background, with at least a 2.1 in a relevant discipline (Computer Science, Information Technology, IT, Electronic Engineering, Applied Physics or equivalent) from a top University.
Commercial Software Development experience (a must I m afraid so no raw graduates please)
Strong Software Development experience for Control and Automation for Scientific/Laboratory/Medical/Pharmaceutical/Complex Machinery/instrumentation etc industries.
Languages: C++/C#/JAVA USED for control/automation applications
SCADA/PLC Software Development knowledge would also be very beneficial.
