Job Description

My global Client requires a Director of Technical Architecture. The Director of Technical Architecture is a key role and is an exciting opportunity for a results driven head of technical architecture. Reporting to Chief Technology Officer, the Director of Technical Architecture will deliver a robust, scalable and cost-effective framework for publishing technologies within the e-media, E-business, database and XML publishing domain. This role drives the long-term technical strategy for the division, delivers, deploys and enhances platform standards, best of breed technologies and works with the CTO to recommend and implement a long-term technical roadmap. The perfect candidate will have the ability to define the to-be architecture and quickly deliver results through incremental application. The candidate must * Be highly technical and commercially focused; * Proficient at defining business and technical architectures simply and effectively. * A deep E-business knowledge, enterprise database and BI platform implementation experience as well as E-commerce, CMS and nTier architecture technologies. * Platform implementation of Java, data integration tools, SQL Server, XML, Oracle database, Business Objects, Omniture, Escenic, Magento are a huge plus. The role requires the post holder to be very effective at managing vendor relationships towards the delivery of excellence while keeping costs to a minimum.
